Strap pin broken..

I was playing the other day..jumping around and such at band practice..when my strap came off, along with the pin that is screwed into my ESP EC 1000 (les paul model) so how do I fix this? or can i?

Break a tooth pick or two off into hole.
Jam them in hard.
If you have a little white glue coat the tooth pick with it.
And just screw the screw back in.

Not the best fix, but you be amazed at how good it will hold.

That is what I did for my bass when the tuning peg got ripped off. Here are some words of advice to add onto this.
1. Preferably use wood glue (the Brownish tan stuff).
2. Let the glue dry overnight, then the next day (preferably 24 hours to allow the glue to have its full effect) screw it in just as you were screwing the screw into real wood. You will be amazed on how good this works!

I just took that as the chance to make some custom straplocks.

step 1 : locate larger screw

step 2: locate large metal washer that screw will hold

step 3 : place the hole of the strap over the hole in the guitar, then the hole in the washer over the hole of the strap

step 4 : screw it all together

voila! custom straplocks. mine have been in for 2 years, and i do all kindsa jumping and guitar swinging.
