My volume knob is driving me crazy. Whenever it is not set to the Max or the min then I hear an annoying hum! What do I do?
This is on my variax.

Have you tried turning it back just a little. Inside there are two little wipers and when you turn it all the way up one wiper maybe going over the edge. leaving only one wiper for signal to pass through.
