What would be an average price for a guitar setup at a local shop? :? In setup I am only reffering to restring, action adjustment , and intonation adjustment. I am thinking of taking this Samick that I can't get that 2nd string buzz out of to the shop to get it up to its max potential.

I don't know for sure, but I would expect to pay $20-$30 for that kind of work, including the strings of course. Maybe you could call a couple of places nearby?

Yeah, no more than $35, including a new set of strings.

There's a shop out here that charges US$80 for a basic setup! And from what I've read, they don't even do a very good job!

Would that be "Mitch's Guitar Shack"?

LOL, no - I do good set-ups! Especially now that I've got my fret and nut files! :D

Seriously, check out the prices under the "guitar department" heading:

A hundie for a compensated bone saddle! Jeez, I could get one custom made by Bob at guitarsaddles.com for about 1/4th that price.

OUCH! Nice work, if you can get it-not from my wallet, though!

holy crap, what a rip. About 4 years ago I had the frets dressed on my jackson and had them go ahead and set it up while they had it. $90 and he did a great job.
