"Bat Boy"
(Charles Ford)

I stopped in at the Jiffy-Mart
for some candy bars and such.
I was feeling mighty peckish,
but I didn't want too much.

While standing in the check-out line,
I couldn't help but see,
some folks have amazing lives,
I wish it could be me

Somebody saw Bat-Boy,
in West Virginia yesterday,
Somebody saw Elvis,
buying spam at the Circle-K
A young couple saw Sasquatch,
running for the trees,
It's the kind of thing
I'll prob'ly never see.

I started thinking of the things
that go on every day.
I'm sure that I would see them too,
if I looked the other way.

But it seems I'm always focused,
on the current task at hand,
I don't think I'd be welcome,
in that never-never land.

where a Russian space-baby,
was raised by Siberian wolves,
there's a picture of Churchill,
on a two-headed calf's left hoof,
If I start smokin' garlic,
it'll do me a world of good,
at least Nostradamus
prophesied it would.

Hey Dog, Scratch and Pbee

This is GREAT :!: :!: :!:

Congratulations to all of you on a wonderful collaboration.

I've loved this song ever since Scratch first submitted it to SSG
and it just keeps getting better.

Hi guys,

I just played it to my wife, and she was absolutely blown away by it too. :D

Her comment was that it should be on an album and sounded 100% saleable. I agree. One of the best songs I've heard for ages. Can't find anything at all to nitpick about.....

Torn between admiration and envy of three such talents. :D

Thanks guys, Country music is not my usual cup of tea, but its good to get out of ones box now and then :D I did play in a country band many years ago.

you guys should get into some on-line jams with us , you both play plenty good enough and both have the computer skills needed( Chris and the celt) I'm trying to get more folks into this so we can do more colaborations.
The on-line jams are a good place to start in learning the skills needed to do this kind of thing :D If ya'll need some help just let us know. --the dog

Fantastic job guys. I love it.

Seems to me you have created a top 10 and another camp fire classic.

I suggest you publish it.
