yeah. Sweet tone. Nice playing.

I've been imitated so well I've heard people copy my mistakes.

Sweet! Keep the Hendrix comin'! :)
Stairway to Freebird!
this arrived yesterday!!! and it effing rocks! anyone looking for a late hendrix type fuzz - this is the one. it does the band of gypsys to a tee
i've posted a (very) rough take of bold as love with the solo at the end - lots of bad notes (sorry). The playings not the best but it shows what the pedal can do. Finished recording at midnight with 3 kids asleep upstairs - low(ish) volumes sound great now!
the clip begins as normal with the fuzz pedal on...with the volume control rolled down to 3. for the solo it's rolled up to 10

I belive Hendrix used a Dallas-Arbiter Fuzz Face, but youre right, that thing effing rocks! :)

 Big Al, you've got some reeeallly nice guitars. Mr. Mojo looks positively amazing - beat up perfect in every way!
And moreso, great job with Bold As Love. :D
Henry Garza, Saul Hudson, and Darrell Abbott could not be here tonight, but they all had sex and are proud to announce the birth of their two-headed baby, Rodya S. Thompson.

i had the reissue of the dallas arbiter - i got rid of it a couple of years ago. It's no where near as good as the fulltone 70!!! it's definately the pedal for me. :)

thanks, and thanks!! :)
mr mojo just oozes jiminess! without any of his talent, i can almost achieve his tone! just need to keep practising!
I like yer voodoo chile slight return. I thought it was going to be a bit slow but it picked up nicely. You've got the tone just about right.
Did you know that Hendrix used to get that clunky tone change on that long held decending chord by whacking the pick up selector up and down? But you probably don't want to do that to your strat!

thanks hero :)
aye, i knew that...don't worry the strat can take plenty abuse!!! :D
the VC recording was done on my PRS - (i was stratless when i recorded it)
not had the chance to re-record it yet... i think i'll speed up the track a bit - it's harder to play at the slower speed
Actually, I got the recordings out today and gave them a listen. He does do it that slow, even slower. The other thing is that the dynamics in terms of styles he gets into a single song is amazing. I also listened to Band of Gypsies several times today. Utterly incredible! OK it's scrappy in places but I guess that's because he was always pushing - at least on the recordings that were released. I'd say he was like a box of fireworks that someone had accidentally dropped a lighted match into.
