Hey, I used the same tune for my first song, first time I ever tried singing and playing at the same time, first lyrics I wrote (it was an answering machine message), and first time I recorded myself, back in January 2002:

Are you guys using the manish boy riff for your stuff?
I think Bo Diddley was the first to use that style......(RIP)....but Muddy Waters used it also (Mannish Boy) and Im sure many who followed. :D

The key thing here is if you have trouble singing and playing at the same time, this beat is perfect!
Strum the guitar......sing....strum.......sing.
It works for players like me who cant chew gum and walk at the same time :lol:
