this is our band Delta Mud. we are a country/rock band. more of a "red dirt country" band so far. its just cause i can sing most of RR's Band material, cause its close to the same keys i can sing in. throw in a little Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, and some Hank Jr., and we call it a night.

this is the first band any of us will have played a gig with. our first gig is in 7 weeks. we're working up 45min of playtime. we got 10 songs to go, spent the last two weeks on 5 songs, this was our first practice session. thanks for listening. feel free to critique. right now we're still working out the kinks as far as sound, and being able to hear ourselves. im having trouble hearing myself sing, and then go off key moreso then usual. singing into a mic was a wake up call... we'll post more toward the end of the 7 weeks, i know we'll be rockin and rollin by then, everyone is working very hard and energetic.

Nice job. 1 suggestion though; you may want to change your user name since we already have a dogbite who is an active member here, just so there's no confusion.

You know, it's funny, I clicked on it thinking "Dogbite put a video up?"

But saw that wasn't the case LOL, wrong Dogbite.

Still a nice job though!

is there a way to change it without re-registering?

we finally got some mic stands, but they are straight...not boom stands.

never played/sang behind one til the other night. i kept touching my strings to the stand...and i kept having to lean over...

thinking about shimming a 2x12 to put underneath the round stand base, and raise one end up about an inch, that should make the mic end lean to one side 5 or 6 inches...anyone else got any ideas on how to rig up a straight stand to make them easier to play behind? i feel like igor after leaning over so long...!

I use a mic stand with a boom. the upright is far away and the boom places the mike where AI want it.
very useful in the studio for miking my square neck resonator, reaching over my acoustic for a vocal mike.

it really is just a matter of getting used to your mic stand. everyone that has ever stood behind one has
try out different postures.

how many dogs do we have here now. smoking dog was the first I bet.

I was going to suggest Byte Bandit . . . Oh well.

It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.
