Comments please on the quality of this simple hammer on riff. Sounds OK to me but looking for feedback/advice.
It sounds good, but by just hammering on, it sounds kind of flat..I mean, when you do the hammer-on, it's almost as if it's missing something, like a pull of after the hammerons perhaps :)
try that out.
do a hammer-on then pull-off in that song.
You're a god among insects, never let anyone tell you different.
Sounds like you got the hammer down to me :D Sounds good 8) 8) what marshallsw said was good  The more you practice the smoother it will sound(become the instument) --the dog
Listen to some blue grass, those guys are the masters of that kind of thing-the dog
Thanks for the feedback. It was exactly what I was looking for. Now I know what to work on to incorporate into songs.
I have been playing on and off for a long time but mostly rhythm and now I want to get more into lead and solos. So, I started working on more of the techniques like hammers, pull offs and bends etc.
hey that was pretty cool. i actually liked the unexpected sound. its called dissonance. deceptive cadence. i was expecting the pull off but it didnt come. kept me interested. sounds kinda bluesy and funk at the same time.
sounds to me like it could use a little more confidence
sounds to me like it could use a little more confidence
Thanks
What do you mean by "confidence"?
try hammering on harder, get a good solid note out of it.
The first time I heard a Beatles song was "Let It Be." Some little kid was singing along with it: "Let it pee, let it pee" and pretending he was taking a leak. Hey, that's what happened, OK?-some guy

It sounds great but it sounds like your still learning it and havent quite mastered it.. The tempo doesnt feel right. Rollin was right, try getting more power out of it and even out the tempo a bit..
Just my humble opinion
Great, thanks folks. Just experimenting so it sounds like I am half way there.
