Here's a roughed in version of a Latin Playboys tune.
Plenty of improvements (hopefully!) to come, but any feedback welcome!
Hope you enjoy it. :)

Hey Man, I'm glad you put this out. It's so much more polished than my latest effort. All is done well, and I'll repeat myself about sis. What a voice for this kind of music. 8) 8)

"I wonder if a composer ever intentionally composed a piece that was physically impossible to play and stuck it away to be found years later after his death, knowing it would forever drive perfectionist musicians crazy." - George Carlin
That's finger snapping good.
Great voice, and crystal clear recording.
It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.
nice mix boxboy. this was a excellent experience. boxboy and I and Laurie have worked together once before.
my biggest thrill was playing guitar behind that fantastic voice. I want to take it on the road.
boxboy did a great job with the bass, drum, and organ (midi) tracks. they came to me along with the vocal track (how did she do that?). it was not hard playing to that excellence. challenging as usual, but way fun.
thanks Laurie and thanks Boxboy. 8)
When you told me you are working on a new project I didn't imagine that you were working in this masterpiece!
Beautiful voice, great mix (effectively, crystal clear), great guitars and keyboards.
Now, the question: It sounds like a fretless but is that a double bass?
What a cool bass line! Deliciously lazy!
Many congrats and thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the feedback, guys! Much appreciated.
This has really been a fun one to work on.
dogbite, it's always a pleasure working with you. great talent and easy going enthusiastic attitude. makes the whole process a ton of fun.
Nuno, I played the bass line on my keyboard and then assigned a Garageband MIDI preset, called Upright Jazz Bass. I'd never used it before, but I quite like it. It's pretty dynamic for a MIDI patch.
The plan is still to replace the keyboard bass with real bass, add more organ and rework the backing vocals but that will take a while.

I have to play with the new GarageBand. I've changed the mac recently and I practically didn't explore that program. It seems they achieved the tone.
I'm very impressed with this version. Did you say 'improvements'?
I'm continuously listening it and it seems perfect to me!
Did you say 'improvements'?
That's the theory anyway! We'll see.
