I'm just starting to play lap steel and this is a simple song from the start of the book. Any comments on timing, muting, tone, in-tuneness, would be appreciated.

I'm playing on my much abused mex tele set up for bottleneck slide in open G. :D The bar is a Shubb SP3. It's a heavy little sucker. I'd like to experiment with a few others.

One of these days I'll get myself a real lapsteel, just haven't figured out which one yet.

That sounds good. :D :D Glad to know musiciansfriend is finally shipping the Artisan to Canada. I know Ricochet's been praising them as well. I might have to wait till January to order, just hope there's still some left. :)

Oh the memories. I can still hear my teacher saying "your supposed to read the notes not just play it!". Sounds like you're doing very well.
