Finally got around to writing another song. This one is called Guide. I have been meaning to write a song in EADGBD tuning for awhile, cause I think it sounds awesome. Finally did one. It's got some funky chords in there. I finally have realised that not every line sung in a song does not have to resolve perfectly to the right note, if you know what I mean. I have learned to try and create more of a tension and release kinda deal. I don't know if this is making any sense. Just check it out, tell me what you think.
Also the vocals aren't perfect, as I didn't want them to be. To me, the song felt like it should be more rough. So I left some of the mistakes in.

One chord is fine.
Two you're pushing it.
Three and you're into jazz.
That was excellent! I really enjoyed listening to this one.

Thanks guys!
I was getting uneasy as my thread cruised down the page with 0 replies.

Thats mighty good :!: As much as I love to listen to your cover tunes, you have a talent for songwriting! This is as interesting as any cover you have done. I have to agree about the EADGBD tuning, very cool. I love to experiment with open tunings.
Thanks. I don't really write often. Every once in awhile Ill come up with a cool little riff or progression and just bang out some lyrics real quick.
It's really hard to write vocal melodies.
