happy 09.
beautiful sounds. your playing is fluid and a joy to watch.
must be warm there; short pants.
I have on wool socks, a sweater, and a hoodie. my finger tips are cold.
it is supposed to be 14 below in a couple days.

Definitely worth a second listen. Are you reading that or playing from memory?

DADGAD + capo - I would be so confused...

very nice again MB - you look extremily comfortable with thast style of playing - i hope someday i can gewt to thart level of fluidity with my picking fingers.

just one question though? I have never used DADGAD, is there some advantage to playing in that tuning when finger picking?? why do people tune their guitars in this way?

"I like to play that guitar. I have to stare at it while I'm playing it because I'm not very good at playing it."
Noel Gallagher (who took the words right out of my mouth)

hello, thanks for watching and the kind words! good question, i would say that for me DADGAD offers some new voiceings to the guitar. It takes you out of 'comfortable' grips and scales and perhaps pushes the player to search for new things. Also DADGAD is a modal (neither major/minor) kind of tunning which lends itself to celtic tunes and other more neuter sounding arrangements.....which i like. I'm nothing if not neuter!!
