The above link is to a song I'm working on that I'm writting it's called

"Changes "

Just wondering if someone could listen to it and give me some feed back on where I'm going wrong . Like

1) Are my chord changes smooth enough

2) Am I keeping in time

3) Am I Losing the beat ( going faster / slower )

To me it sounds pretty darn good but I think I might be biased .

Thanks in advance

It sounds good...nice things happening. BUT I am lost. There is no tension being built up to lead into some of the parts. It is like I do not know where one progression starts and the another ends. It almost sounds like you are playing random chords (I know you have a progression going) and when you feel like, you are throwing in the arpeggiated part.
Try to rearrange the chords to build up tension and climax it with the arpeggiated part. Also try to set a certain tempo throughout the whole song. The intro is off time with the strumming pattern. Try playing it with a metronome or something that will keep time.

Just my opinion.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks Johnin510

I only used 3 chords though --- 4 if you count the arpeggiato

open G -C -
G- C -
G- C- D7

arpeggiato done in open D

Being totally honest here I get lost whenI have a metronome in front of me

Thanks for your feed back

Hilch

I listened to it, it sounded good to me. I always imagine a melody line over strummed chords like this anyway. I think you should sing some lyrics over it and re-record it.

I liked the arpeggios, thought it broke up the music well.

If you know something better than Rock and Roll, I'd like to hear it - Jerry Lee Lewis
