another year has gone by so I am attempting another Dylan song in his honor. I would like your critical feedback as I hope to play this song at a Bob Dylan birthday night at a local bar. the bar has hosted the Dylan night for years and all are welcome to play one of his songs. you come in, sign up, get a slot and have at it. this will be my first time. it is the 24th, next saturday.
I love this song, but may end up doing another one. mainly because I will be solo and will not have additional instruments as I do on this offering.
I think the key of G is a bit hard for me to sing. I may have to down tune to Gflat. think so?
George Harrison has influenced the arrangement. I probably will get in trouble at soundclick because they do not allow covers w/o permission. oh well. we'll see how long it stays up.
so give me feedback on my voice. I know the arrangement needs fine tuning. I just wanted to get this out and posted here quickly.

Holy crap, Dog, this is excellent!
Crystal clear recording!
Beautiful guitaring! Three tracks in this one?
Excellent take on Dylan voice. You got the grit, the attitude, the inflections . . . everything.

I'm really, really, really impressed.
Congratulations
I'm kinda new here so I didn't know you were that good.
You caught me off guard.

It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.

I agree with you that maybe you should tune down from open G, as it sounds like your voice is straining in spots.

The guitars & slide sound great, but like you said, how are you going to pull that off live? Can you make an arrangment that you can play solo on the lap steel? I think that would be great. 8)

Good luck,
Dan

Dogbite, I was working and running these months and I missed some of your recordings. Now, I'm trying to update myself!

I agree with Dan and you, perhaps another key will be easier. But the sounds are great!

Thank you very much.

I definately need to tune the guitar to E flat. then I should be able to relax my voice.
this has a few tracks. guitar, vocal, midi bass and two tracks of dobro so I could get that Harrison harmony.

I tried this on my lap steel. it is tuned to open G. I can't get it to work for a solo deal. that Am is impossible as a chord and that walk down with the Bm in it is , well, beyond my abilities.
thanks for the comments. they help.

i like it just the way it is.
it gives it a more "dylanesque" feel imho.
the Harrison vibe had heart as well
Booya! and a belated Happy B-day Bobby Z!
