La Paloma - Slack Key Hawaiian

A short little tune that originated in Cuba around the 1860's. It's since been re-arranged and taken into cultures around the world.

This is a Hawaiian arrangement of it by Ray Keeane. It's absolutely harder than it looks LOL. And they way I play it ain't perfect by any means!

Yeah, the song looks pretty simple on paper, but it was very difficult for me to execute even after a week of heavy practice with it.

I can't seem to keep the squeaking on the strings down LOL.

I do love the Slack Key sound, I'm going to work with a song in the C Wahine tuning in the next few weeks.
