I went at it in one shot, tell me what I need to improve on.

I also want to add that this is the first song I ever attempted to play  when I picked up my guitar 3 1/2 years ago while browsing on these forums looking for tips on how to play like jimi, wow, what a dork I was,
The middle part might seem a little bland, I was going to add a solo but I decided not to.
really enjoyed this :D you gotta be pleased with this surely..........smoke 8)

And here is to me as bad as I am
As good as you are and as bad as I am

When my mind is free, you know a melody can move me
And when I'm feelin' blue, the guitar's comin' through to soothe me ~
really good... kind of a srv feel
Give me some ideas, how can improve upon this?
Very nice cover.
I'd like to know how you bent the harmonics as well...?
A behind the nut bend?

(Radiohead, RHCP, Jimi Hendrix - the big 3)
well, i guess i'd keep working with it until it had more of your own personality in it. not as a conscious or forced effort to be original, but just go where it takes you over time.
Very nice cover.
I'd like to know how you bent the harmonics as well...?
A behind the nut bend or a whammy bar?
(Is there even a difference?)
I bent the neck and pushed the guitar body in.

Ah. Thanks.
I'd say you just need to keep practicing it until it comes "naturally". Until you don't really have to think about what comes next and you could play it lyin down or just completely absent-mindedly. When you achieve this stage, it's easier to monitor how you're playing it and easier to put your own expression into it.

That was definately cool, I agree with the ack johnson comment. Maybe if you got a backing you could explore the solos a bit more, I liked what you started to play around 1:20, it was good :)
"Contrary to popular belief, Clapton is NOT God. The prospect that he is God probably had a large hand in driving him to drugs and booze. Thanks everyone."
