Can someone guide me in the right direction here please ..

Just did my first rythmn and lead piece ..

Rythmn first then I played a little lead over it ..

Do you play lead in the same key as you play rythmn

Have a listen thanks

Feed back most welcome

Good work Trevor! :D

IMHO I'd reduce the rhythm track volume, sometimes it goes over the lead. And also I'd work on the lead or melody, I think the scale must be the same althought you also can use some notes out of the scale, for example, if they are present in the corresponding chord in that measure.

The rhythm part sound great! The strumming is almost perfect! :D

Congrats!

you have rythym! I have poor spelling. the lead is tenuous, but more practice with the piece
you will feel more confident and sound more convincing.

yes. work up to it. know your stuff first.
then , instead of going spot on the note, play two frets before it, but bend the string to the proper note.
adds interestand feeling.

Nice stuff Trevor

One thing I noticed is that its a bit hard to discern the lead from the rhythm, meaning the tones seem to be indenticle. You may want to try changing the tone for the lead, by using a different pickup or messing with the tone knob, or adding overdrive, etc. OR, maybe pan the sound for the lead to the right or the left? I'm sure Hue or Arjen could give better advice on this.

The playing sounds pretty good though, very pretty sound. You sound like you are staying in key with the lead, at least to my ears, and I think it goes well with the chords.
