I have always - and still am - playing for my kids at bed time.

I dont know why I haven't done this before, but here is first take on my new lullaby

I just recorded it to remember it
Added harmonica
and then bass - it's horribly out of pitch here and there - it 's not my main instrument!!

Anyway - first take
I will try to work on it and post again later :-)

Norwegian lyrics translated

This day has been long and you are tired
Go to bed and forget all you have seen
I will do like when you were a baby
I will sing a song for to until you sleep

All bad things will disapear now
Nothing's gonna harm you here tonight
Remember it's all become a memory
I am here and I will stay here my love

Tomorrow the sun will shine on your face
It's not raining anymore the air is clear
Through your window come noise from the city
See what a lovely day we have

And if you should wake up midst of your dreams
I will caress your hair so gently
You can still sleep a long time
No evil can reach you here

Tomorrow the sun will shine on your face
I will still be there - be certain of that
Together we will laugh at the world
The day will be good - you will see

...only thing I know how to do is to keep on keepin' on...

Thanks for listening :-D

Looks like it's going to be a jazz tune

I don't play jazz do I? Afraid the jazz guys will shoot me...

Well - have been playing bass today - fretless bass is not easy - but walking bass lines are fun :)
I don't really know enough to make these bass lines up the "proper way" from scales and chord tones - but I can hear them and find them on the bass... does it sound ok?

A sample of what it's becoming here
