Hi all. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this or even if it's allowed, but if anyone is interested in an "add-a-track" project, where you can overdub a solo to a backing track, I have loaded one up. It's a slow Dm bluesy 12 bar sort of feel, with a BbMaj7 > A7> Gm7 > Aaug at bars 9, 10, 11 and 12. The midi track was done in GuitarPro, so it's pretty rinky dink, but in some ways, these sterile sounding tracks are better to practice over than full blown band tracks. There's nowhere to hide, if you know what I mean.
Here is the backing track: http://www.thatllteachyou.com/mp3s/miragicalBT.mp3
Here is my take, an electric slide version:
Stream it: http://www.thatllteachyou.com/mp3s/miragical.m3u
Download it: http://www.thatllteachyou.com/mp3s/miragical.mp3
It's a fun slinky chord progression to play along to. I guess you all know about sites like http://www.soundclick.com , where you can upload your finished mp3s for free.
Anyway, if this sort of activity is not frowned upon at this forum, it'd be nice to hear some takes over this.
All the best,

That's a fine idea! It's not frowned upon at all to link to music here, as long as it's either public domain or something you own copyright to, or something else legal which is escaping my mind right now. We all like to hear what other forumites are playing.
No takers? No one wants to have a stab at this?

I will do it. WIsh I hadn't broken my slide though.

Excellent! No need for slide, any old way is fun.

whoops -- double post. See below.

I think it's a good idea. One suggestion: You might get more of a response if you move it to the Hear Here forum, since things such as this get lost in the general forums.
Some Moderator help maybe?

Arghh. I did the solo, but I accidently lost most of it! I'll re-do it when I'm not so mad at myself.

Ah! There it is. I new it was here somewhere. Yeah I'll see what I can hack up for this one. Please keep the laughing to a a minimum.
