thanks nuno :)

The drums, I agree, are pretty awesome. This is ALL Arjen's work. I sent him the bassline, with what I had in mind for the guitar, and I was sort of like "yeah, this is a new one I'm working on..." and when he sent the drums back to me I felt more like "YEAAA!! THIS IS THE NEW ONE!" He did a great job, and I agree with you, the cymbal usage for during the solos adds a lot to it.

Sounds like you're on to something. Timing (as pointed out) and the lead for me. I nice volume boost with a touch of verb would have been nice. Try panning the rhyhem hard left and hard right (two mono tracks) and keep the vocals and the lead in the center.

Your voice would work well with the blues. You should really start focusing on your voice more.

Boost that lead! You rock, nothing wrong with showing it alittle!

I like it, on the whole. I thought you dragged the solo out a little bit too long, but then it got interesting again with the pinch harmonics. The bass sounded a little bit - just a TINY bit - out of sync with the drums for a while, but then they came together.

The riff's pretty cool - the lead's outstanding, really well played. About the voice - you could either put more into it, it seemed to be a touch flat in places, or you could put less into it - go for a kind of lazy, languid Lou Reed/Jimi/Dylan delivery.

No BS here - there were times I was reminded of EC in the Cream days. I really enjoyed the guitar!

Nice one Taso!

:D :D :D

I just downloaded the mp3, that should work for you no matter what, right? If need be, right-click on the download icon and click "save link as" or some such.

Thanks for listening Mike - I think I'll be redoing the guitar today so I'll get the timing all fixed up. The volume boost and reverb I will see how it sounds. The panning I can't do, as both the rhythm and solo are on one track, in the same take. I agree, I tend to shy away from vocal things because I am not confident in my voice at all.

Thanks TR, glad you liked it :)

Barnabus, PM your email and I'll send it - either the first try or the one I'm going to do tomorrow.

Thanks Vic for commenting - You're actually not the first person to say the solo was a bit too long. But, unfortunetly all you've managed to do is make it so that when I redo it I don't make the solo longer, which I had planned on :) What I really take these comments for is that the solo isn't interesting enough, which is very valid. If it was interesting, it would seem the perfect length, or, leave you wanting more. So, maybe I will kick in the wah pedal for this one. Appreciate the comments on the vocal. I actually tried to make it lazy, a la George Thorogood, you know? But my voice is too...not rough, for that. I considered taking up smoking to get it a bit rougher  But flat notes, that is unnacceptable. Will listen again and try to spot them out so I can iron that out. And definitly a big thanks for saying it reminds you of EC during Cream. Inspiration for the song? Just got done watching the Cream reunion and thought "okay, time for me to make something new" and that's what I came up with.

Thanks all for the comments

Thank you sir, appreciate it, hope you enjoy.

Hey, NY - I'm in Oyster Bay: just got back from drowning my car on the road. The ONE time I don't have my cell phone on me. Sat in the car for about 30 minutes after rolling to a dry area, and it finally started again. Although it made a lot of clunking sounds. I think it's good now though.

lol Rahul - I should play it for my car, maybe it will get it's act together. Although I expect after this recent wet torture treatment it'll start acting up even more.

Good job :D You have a good voice to work with. I like the tune, and the tone is awesome  The guitar is very good, 4:19 really is great :D The vox could use a bit of work in a few places but you have a very nice voice :D

Odd bump: Did anyone, by any chance, any miracle of God, save this to their computer? For some reason it seems I took it off dmusic, and my hard drive was destroyed, so it appears I've lost it.

If anyone happened to download it, please let me know

Thanks

Edit: Never mind, a friend of mine had it and sent it to me. Thanks anyways GN :)
