Hey everyone, Just recorded my best attempt to play the rainbow in the dark solo by vivian campell and threw it up on youtube so tell me what you guys think!

I learned it in about 5 days... also, Im always complaining about my tone, so if you get the chance to hear my tone in that video maybe some constructive critisizm or maybe you guys will like it who knows, but bring the comments!! Its just the solo so Its only 40 secs long or so..

Thanks everyone!

Sounds good to me - wish I could play lead like that!

Not to my particular taste, but don't let that put you off....I could listen to that more than once, you're in key and in time - AND YOU'RE ROCKING - what more do you want from life?

Sounds good to me - wish I could play lead like that!

:D :D :D

thats what i'm talking about, great job, vivian campbell is a great guitar player, great to see another technical player on this site,
insted of hearing the usual shred bashing, you have great tone, don't change anything 8)

even god loves rock-n-roll

It's hard to tell from this clip if your sound has anything wrong to it.
It seems to fit the bill for this type of soloing, from what I can hear.

And great work on the solo, you got talent.

Sounds great. One things is that you might want to make sure the rhythm is a bit tighter. When the backing sticks to one chord it doesn't matter as much but you want to outline the changes as tight as possible. But a great performance nevertheless. The tone seems ok to me, hard to say when recorded this way. Maybe a bit less gain and more compression, or an ultra-fast slapback echo (1-4ms).

Just turn your speakers up. :P

Sleu,

OK I deserved that, wrong choice of words, volume wasn't what I wanted to say maybe clearer is better...it sounded alittle muddy maybe because of the way it was recorded but I still thought it was very good!
