I loved it!
Reminded me of so many things.
At first - the Beatles came to mind.... Peppers and post Peppers.
I think any time I hear wonderful studio wizardry, it reminds me of the Beatles
and their 'Fabulous' recording techniques.
I couldn't help thinking of early Syd-era Pink Floyd as well.
As you caught a mood and made us relax, when out of nowhere.... Hey! We're listening to a solo....?
Old Floyd was like that.
You'd think you were hearing Syd's guitar, when it was really Rick's keyboards.
Then you'd resign yourself to it being the keys, and it was Syd's guitar.
You seem to have come up with the musical equivalent of the 'unreliable narrator',
in the best tradition of Vonnegut's 'Slaughterhouse 5';
We think the author himself has led us on the journey under a nom de plume, only to find that the two will meet
somewhere along the way.....
Begging the question.... Who has been our guide all this time????
