yeah I know, you're all vomitting out of boredom because I keep ranting about my album. Sorry. But that-thing-I-wont-mention is for me the transition between my 'forming years' and the beginning of whatever the medium stage is called. For that reason I thought it'd be fun to do a little compilation thing. So here it is: eight remastered tracks from five of my previous EPs plus five songs that are part of nothing.

The whole thing is on Last.FM, my new home away from home. That-thing-I-wont-mention will be found there, too, when it's done. This entire collection can be listened to by clicking on the little speaker in front of each song. The songs can also be downloaded, Last.FM has some wickedly fast servers. It takes me less then two seconds to download each song.

By the way, I'd encourage everyone to sign-up and become part of Last.FM. When you download the player it'll import your media player/Ipod/Winamp playlists from which it'll calculate your taste. You can then listen to a radio station with only those artist in your playlist but with all their songs, including those you'd dont have or never knew about. You can also listen to a 'recommended' station which'll play new artists in the same genre as your favourites, and if you like it you can add their entire catalogue to your library. I joined less then a week ago and have already found almost 100 new musical acts I'd otherwise never would have found out about. I hate to sound like a salesperson but it kicks so much butt, I'd almost say it changed my world if that wouldn't sound so corny!

Anyway, hope anyone likes the tracks.

Congrats on this "new" work, man! I don't listen your songs recently (perhaps the last one was Photo )

Nice compilation. 8)

And I'll review the last.fm site, it seems interesting.

Nuno: heh, still a kickass tune, Photo. When can we expect the next one? :D Hope you liked some of the tracks!

Gerry: sorry to hear that. Let me know if it keeps giving you trouble, if possible with the exact error message. NOTE: do not try the 'sleutelbos radio player', it's not setup properly yet and will give a 'oops no content!' message. The only way to play them is by using the little speaker in front of each song title.

Ha figured it out wouldn't let me stream but download is fine. I have been listening to Urbanization (Yes Means No), Miss You, All The Right Mistakes and now Petrichor. Words like haunting, hypnotic, sadness, pathos, memories rolled through what I have for a brain as I listened. You really are original and extremely talented, always a pleasure to be surprised by your views and feelings expressed in music. Sometimes you touch the sky my friend.

the middle stage. hmmm. pupae? wingless? acne?

your work has really made great strides lately. I like listening to your tracks. they are so well placed.
as I have said before, your songs are visual. but, now I am hearing something more.
must be the middle stage. and singing and playing to the mike in a next stage way.
I'm just sayin'.

great songs. well done.

i think a lot of people hear could learn from you when it comes to putting recordings together - good job!

I'm really looking forward to ALL those features.
However, due to limited internet connection, I can't try Last.FM.
I can't view the Beginner's Videos recently uploaded or download your "tunes" . . . even your WORST.
When I get back to the Miami homestead, I'll catch up.

Heh, whatever gets you in the mood suits me fine Ken. 8) (as long as we're talking music, mind you) Note that I'm very much working chaotically on this. This 'worst of'album aint finished yet. There are a total of 37 tracks being considered for this thing, most already known to some here but some new ones as well. The final thing will be included as a bonus disc for my ínside outsider' album. As such the album will be not availlable for free download when it's all done. All tracks, including the 'inside outsider' disc will be made availlable for full, unlimited, streaming but downloads will be severely restricted.

Why? Because at the end of this project I've spend a few thousand dollars on it, which is quite a lot for a student. It'll be really awkward to charge people for it, and I know it can be interpretated as arrogance. You know, "why is he charging for it, does he think he's better then [insert person who doesnt charge]"? In case anyone's wondering about it: that's not it. If I had millions of dollars laying around I'd just give it away but until that happens, or until the landlord decides to pay the rent for me, I have little choice. Either spend nothing and give it away for free, or get it as good as I can and try to get the expenses back. Right now, however, I'm not promoting anything so the only folks who know this exist are you all, the GN community that has been such a massive help for me for more then half a decade now. When it's finished I'm probably supposed to treat everyone equal, so I can't have one person pay while the next one gets it for free. Sorry 'bout that!

Bottom-line: if you think you like this then make sure you download it before I disable it!

Thanks to everyone who bothered to listen to the songs, it's very, very much appreciated!
