Here is a song I wrote called "Wild" many years ago. It is very simple, but that's the way it's supposed to sound. :D

Wow Wes, I'm very impressed! 8)
I really like the flow of the whole song, the catchy riffs, and the lyrics. The vocal is alittle bit buried, but is very catchy also. You come up with some good hooks!
So, when is the Wes Inman CD coming out? :D

Thanks Dan
Actually, I wanted the vocals to be back in the mix a little to sound like a live performance. To me they sound a little too out front on the computer. This song sounds much better with a good set of headphones with good bass response. Then I think you will get the effect I was going for.
Thanks again.

Yeah, it sounds much better through headphones. I added two more songs to Soundclick, give them a listen through headphones too.

I just used a Zoom preset for a Marshall tone (my favorite of course) and used my Les Paul. There were no effects whatsoever, not even reverb. I used the middle pickup position, rolled off the neck pickup just a little for a real thick tone, but kept the tone up on the bridge pickup for bite. I was very happy with the tone, I always loved the tone Randy Bachman got on No Time by the Guess Who, that is what I was going for.
You can barely hear a clean guitar in the mix, that is my Tele playing a clean Fender preset with a little Phase effect. I used a standard bass effect for the bass, no effects, I used my LP for the bass as well. The vocal does have a bit of reverb and delay, but only very little for fullness.

Nice country pickin on "That Stain"! I was in the mood for some country music today, I've been listening to Gram Parsons lately.
