Stop apologizing guys! I'm happy now. My first recording is going to kick butt! Well, at least kick butt for someone who started a month ago! I don't care, I'm just excited!
I figure the problems with my HP Pavilion probably only had to do with my output settings on the front panel, etc.. Now that I had that stuff down, I'm good to go. Thanks again!
I'm happy that your Happy now  Recording your stuff is very cool 8) You will have a blast.
how did you adjust the output setings to the front panel? I just know I'm going to have the same problem when I get mine. :P  :D --the dog
In my non-technical terms:
knob on the left (for mic output): If I'm using the mic it's turned almost as far as the knob goes.
knob in the middle (mix/playback): This is always a little less than half-way for me. It works, so I don't feel like experimenting.
knob on the right (headphones): Turned almost as high as it goes because the program I'm practicing on right now records relatively softly.
Of course, I haven't even figured out if these are the best settings, but they are settings that work.
Oh, I thought you were talking about the front panel settings on your PC    my bad! ( Its that VCR flashing 12:00am thing again)
hehe. Nope.
