Hi good people ..
Since my son got his webb cam Audacity now uses the in built mic from the cam to record ..
How can I stop this from happening ?
It is very annoying and the quality of sound I am recording is tragic to say the least , Now I know I am pretty tragic to start with but I need all the help I can get and I don't need some cheap mic recording me swearing as practice ..
I have my own mixer board plugged in and this used to work well , but since the dreaded webb cam came I can not record anything with out it being recorded through the cam mic ..
Is there a simple way around this ?
Cheers
Trevor
ps ..
Yes the hand is still in plaster but I have been putting the capo on different frets to learn strum patterns ...

If you unplug it, does it go back to normal?
Hi Trevor,
You must select the input device in the preferences dialog (Audio I/O). Surely when the web cam was installed, its software changed the option.

Thanks Nuno that worked
