Hey guys, I'm trying to do guitar tracks on a demo using a V-amp, a Behringer MX 802A mixer, and Cool Edit on my computer. The problem is that the guitar sound doesnt sound organic over the live drums. Also, I'm clipping out like crazy even though my master volume is only on about 2, and the mixer's level lights are not even reading "1". When i play back my track it clips all over the place. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Your multi FX might be set to feed out to an amp rather than the Line level that your pc needs. Sounds to me like you're overdriving the pc input.

Best.

Thanks guys...I figured it out...my line in recording [in the windows mixer] was WAY down on 1 or 2, meaning I had to crank my mixer to hear what I was recording. I just turned that up a bit and everything is copasetic.
