Has anyone tried the new Behringer XENYX 802? I believe it took the place of the UB802 but I don't see any real differences to justify an upgrade? Anyone have an opinion?

The changes are mostly in the mic pre-amp. I haven't heared the new one so I can't comment. But with changes like this you must hear it, noway you can see such changes on the net.

Also, the XENYX mixers have a USB interface built in, which i'm assuming will negate the need for a seperate sound interface for your PC or MAC..

IMO, the cost to upgrade your mixer just for the new pre's (i assume you already have a sound interface for your comp) would be a waste of money. Get a seperate High quality pre-amp if that's what you're wanting.

I don't think an upgrade of the pre-amps would justify buying an entirely new mixer with very few other features as Arjen stated.
