I got a mic yesterday from what I gather its for a (sing star play station game)so I connected up to the computer but could not get it to work so then I connected it to the amp through the input a yes it works I then brought a lead from headphones socket to the computer and no go I then connected to 3rd hole between the ones for mic and speakers it think they are green and pink I put it into the blue one in the center and I could hear it through the speakers on the computer what am I doing wrong I cant seem to get it to work is it the mic if it works one way why not the other

The mic connector in your computer is a stereo plug as far as I know. So you will need a mono to stereo adapter. Or you could kind of half plug the mic in. It might work, sort of. It'll probably cut in and out. Your best bet is to invest 3 bucks for the adapter.
