At some point in life it pays to know people.
I have a friend who basically got me into live sound and recording. I needed an interface so he gave me his Lexicon Core 2. So I have 4 inputs and ADAT Lightpipe so 12 inputs total. and 8 outs. He also gave me a copy of Cubase SX. I'm doing great only a few iffy problems. Like Core 2 only runs with 98 it is not XP compatable in Lexicon is being @$$holes an not updating drivers.
My other problem maybe u can help me with. I revived my parents old Dell PII and wiped it clean of everything but 98, and basic programs and Cubase. it has 320 RAM. Everything works fine when recording all tracks record simultaneously, but when u play it back it stutters. it doesn' play smooth it jumps and pops/skips a lil. What could be causeing this.............FYI I record flat to and ADAT then go from that to Cubase then mix and EQ in Cubase.
