Anyone using line 6 guitarport or Riffworks software to record?

I've never used riffworks but I used the gearbox software that came with my toneport ux1 along with garageband. It's a great combination. What platform are you using? Windows I suppose. I still think that Kristal is the best free option for Windows.

If you don't mind spending a few bucks. Samplitude LE is a great program for $50. There's also NTRACK studio and others for a very minimal investment. Samplitude LE has an interface similar to Protools LE with the exception that it does not do realtime bouncing to disk nor does it convert samplerate after bouncing. That is, it converts to 16bit 44.1kHz during mixdown instead of after mixdown. It's still a great sounding program. It also has a nice hiss removal and de esser plugin which are really useful.
