Hi movers and shakers

I have a problem , some might say they knew that long ago

I use Audacity but can't save as a MP3 fr some reason , I have the Lame.dll file and every thing was working just fine . For some reason this just started a week ago and now wont save as ..

This is my usual process of recording ..

1 / Record music in Kristal

2 / save piece in recording folder

3 / Open Audacity

4/ Retrieve piece

5 / Save as a MP3

Step 5 won't play the game any ideas on why , or how to fix the problem ???

TRhanks in advance

Trev...

You need to install the lame_enc.dll for MP3 in Audacity. You can find a download for the zip file at the Audacity web site.

All you will need to do is copy the dll into x:WindowsDrivers or Drivers cache folder and point Audacity to it.

I did all that ages ago Nils

Has this Lame.Dll file been corrupted or something ?

It was working really well like I said , but then it just stopped working ..

I'll re down load it and start again

cheers

Hi Trevor,

I'm not sure but perhaps this problem could be related to the web cam one. Try to "find the library" again in the preferences/options, in my copy, in "File format" tab.

(Verify previously that the library is in your disk.)

Nuno

I had this happen a lot, sometimes it would just 'loose track' and I needed to point audacity to the file again. Sometimes I had to reinstall lame. Weird, but nothing to worry about.

Thanks people

I'm sort of glad in a way its' not only me

I was thinking you might have to update the lame dll encoder file every now and then

Cheers
