This is probably a silly question - but , how can I go about setting up an effects loop for time based effects( delay, phase etc.) with my 66 Bassman. There is no effects loop ports in the back of the head. Only a jack for the speaker cab.

I think my set up should look like this for the tone quality I want : Strat w Texas Specials and boutique oil in paper capacitor - Tubescreamer 808-EQ pedal- Bassman input to preamp- time based effects- EQ pedal-amp- attenuator- 66 Bassman 2x12 speaker cab.

So,
1) How do I accomplish the effects loop ?
2) How does the aatenuator get hooked into the head?

These are probably kindergarden level questions - but I'm clueless at this point. :?

if your amp doesnt have an effects loop. This is the absolute next best thing!

Radial Engineerings website gives some good info on this product as well. To give you some ideas!

and the attenuator goes in between the head and the speaker cab. So inbetween the speaker cables going to the head.

Hope I helped!
