Amp cab combination.

I'm getting ready to upgrade from my peavey transtube and am considering the Peavey ValveKing 100 head, but would like to match it to the marshall mc212 (2x12) cabinet. I've plugged my icon in to the Valve king and like it, but the store setup was with 4x12's. I'm trying to stay under a grand and keep space to a minimum. Haven't been able to find the marshalls locally, but I think it should work with the head. Anything else I should be considering? The only gigging I'll be doing is small bar type stuff the rest will be just practice at home. Thanks
