I have a TS-5 and I love the sound I get out of it except that whenever I use it, it seems like i have to press the pedal a couple of times before the effect turns on... sometimes the switch doesn't turn on, other times the light goes on and when I release pressure the light turns off, sometimes it turns on. I've noticed that it doesn't have any problem turning off though. I was just curious, could this be a simple problem like the inside of the pedal is dusty and all i need to do is clean it, or would i need a new switch entirely or would i just be better off buying something new?

Maybe the inside of the switch is dirty. I had a bunch of those other Ibanez pedals, the ones with the square 'silent' switches, and they'd get dirty pretty fast. Plus you can't tell by feel whether you've clicked it or not.

Anyhow, you might put a little electrical contact cleaner in the switch, and work it a few times to clean off the oxidation.
