Anyone here used a Marshall AVT.? I've played one of the smaller versions, I think it was the 30 watter. I've also played true tube amps before, which this is not. I think its a valve driven preamp only. Anyhow, if anyone else has one or has played one, do you think it would be a good alternative to a JCM2000tsl602? I'm looking for a decent tube amp, but the AVT sounds pretty darm good to my ears, even thought it isn't a true tube model.

I tried both when I was shopping for a new amp and went with the 602. I did like the AVT but liked the tone of the 602 a lot better. The AVT is a lot less expensive and if you like the tone, get it.
I'll second that all tube amp thought. Maybe just be me, but when I start to really get down just seems like a tube amp steps out and gets some, where with a solidstate amp I have yet to hear that.
