Is it worth is? Some say the lack of true bypass sucks the tone, others say its a great tuner and they don't notice...how many pedals in your chain do you need before it 'sucks' some of the tone?

I have owned a TU-2 about 5 years now and I love it. It is especially great for live performance. The readout is extremely easy to see in the dark. It has lots of features, but I simply use Chromatic tuning.

What I really like is that you can mute to tune. Nothing sounds worse than hearing somebody tune between songs.

It is durable and rugged, mine has taken loads of abuse and still works great.

I have also used it to power other pedals. I own the optional daisy-chain cable. You can power up to 9 other pedals with it. Works great on many different brand pedals.

I don't think it sucks tone whatsoever. I am always suspect of anyone who says this. Plug into the tuner, THEN adjust your tone to what you like. What's the problem?

This is an outstanding tuner that is well worth the price.
