ok i think im gonna return my boss ds1 distoriton pedal because is doing absoulutely nothing for my marshall mg 100dfx im looking for something that will really give it a boost because the ds1 just didnt wasnt cutting it any suggestions on a good distortion pedal for my marshall?

What do you mean, really give it a boost? Lots of pedals will give the distortion channel of your amp boost. Chorus is good for that. It will make your solo stand out from rhythm. It will actually increase the volume.
I use a Danelectro Fab Tone and I love it. Great distortion. You can really alter the sound if you fool around with it alot. It has it's own volume. If you turn that up you will blow everybody away! Definite Boost.
