Not sure who or where to be asking this question but as it's probably a simple one to an IT or engineer ...

I uploaded my MP3s on quicktime or jukebox music to my site on Dmusic and soundclick while ago.

So now when I go into my computer's documents - file- mymusic to find the audio file I can't find it.

There's something there by the title of the song but it's in data parts.

what happened?

What's with this phenomenon of an audio file morphing into many data files.

Is there any way to retrieve it into the original audio file or is it lost in cyber space for good?

If I can't recover the original I may have to re-do the entire audio file.

I know I should burn a Cd backup of all my audio files. i may have one somewhere but it's going to take awhile just to find it.

Disorganized or what? You got that right.

help!

Portamento - The ability to move from a wrong note to the right one without anyone noticing the original mistake.
Harmonics - The buzzing sound that string instruments make.
Impromptu - A carefully worked out composition.

Uploading a file to a site cannot change the file on your hard drive. Perhaps quicktime or the other product you mentioned moves the files into a different folder? I have iTunes set to organize my files, so it puts them all under it's own directory structure. You might try doing a search of your system for any .mp3 files.
