I got a call from a musician buddy of mine yesterday . . .

Him: "Hey . . . you know that Martin D-15 you bought from me a few years back?

Me: "Yeah . . ."

"You still have it?"

"Yeeeeahhhhh . . ."

"Do you play it much?"

"Not much at all, why?"

"You remember that '59 Bassman I bought right after I sold ya the Martin?"

"The one I drooled all over?"

"Yeah, that one! I'll swap ya straight up for the D-15 . . ."

"I'll be there in 30 minutes! <click>"

Owning exactly one acoustic myself out of twenty some guitars ........... GREAT DEAL! I like the looks of it. Four tens?

Update on this one, now that I've had some time to learn some of the nuances of the amp . . .

This amp is a monster of the best kind. I've jumped the two channels together, and sussed out how the tone controls and volume interact with other to a degree. As a result I can get a perfect stage volume, with all the chimey, growly goodness tweed Fender amps are famous for.

But, the true test is at the gig, so I took her out tonight.

Once those tubes have been on for a couple of hours and gotten good and hot, this amp just sings and chimes and sustains forever. Touch responsive, and will positively roar when you dig in with the pick. I was worried about not being ample to control stage volume, since this amp has 45 watts and can be really loud. I'm not worried anymore. With the channels jumped, it's actually easier to overdrive, and I hit the sweet spot at a perfect volume for the stage.

. . . it's a perfect match for my Telecasters.
