Are there new stand-alone electronic devices which replace the old "analog" type rhythm machines, without the need of a notebook and software packages ?
I have an old Roland "Rhythm 77" analog machine I used back in the 70's for solo bar work, but although it still works fine through the PA board, I'd like to find something easier/faster to change settings on, as well as smaller/lighter.
Thanks.

There are tons and tons and tons of drum boxes. Roland's Dr. Rhythm comes to mind, but there are really plenty of options.
