I have come across a Bogen C100 solid state PA amp that's dead in the water. Does anybody know of a site or forum that deals with fixing and troubleshooting this kinda stuff? I found a schematic and instruction manual, but I could use some ideas on what to do to fix this thing.

It belongs to a local Little League orginization that doesn't have a lot of money for a new system and I'm going to give a shot to fixing this thing for them! I need the good karma! :D

I'm so lost on this thing it's not funny, it uses low Z mic inputs that screw into the back, strange impedances for the outputs and I want to get to know this thing before I start making things smoke!

When I die, I want to go peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming......

Racetruck -
Don't know if this will help....?
Couldn't hurt Karma wise :)

Didn't see anything in the archives about your model.
Guess you'll have to ask.
Good luck.

Yeah, I know that site, nothing really on solid state, those old tube Bogens are really cool, but nothing really applies! They are a really good site for some oddball amp conversions though.

Problem is that I need some basic SS troubleshooting info. I'm getting pretty good with Tube amps.

They do have a solid state section in that forum.
I don't know if they can help you, or even know exactly what they do there????

There are over 11,000 threads on solid state equipment.
I can't figure out how to ask for info on just your model though.
Maybe you know how to navigate it better.

If you already know about this part of it and it's a deadend, sorry.
Hopefully it works out.

You know what they say about solid state gear, don't you? "If it's broke, don't fix it"

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?
