I'm looking to make my own amp and cabinet

Two problems:

1. I can't seem to find good cab designs on the internet

2. I want some nice Marshall tone that with gain range from light rock to metal (basically I want versitility) What head should I find schematics for, that also wont cost me too much money.

Who needs a signature?
I mean really...
It's almost always lyrics...
or a cliche...
or garbage about me...
Lets just save YOU from the pain, ok?

If it was me asking what you're asking....

I'd build an 18watt.

Go here:

https://taweber.powweb.com/store/kits_60b.htm#6M18

Look at the 6M18.

If you're new to kit building, you might think about doing something simpler first. Maybe a Fender Champ type amp....

 All the usual caveats apply - amps run on heart stopping voltages and it is possible to kill yourself if you don't take care to understand what you're doing. Also, Weber kits don't come with step by step instructions, so do your homework (study the layout and make sure you really know how to solder).

I had a bit of look at this and I'll suggest that you may want to look at either kits or at least basic parts from somebody like Ceritone ( http://www.ceriatone.com ) or Mojo Music ( http://www.mojomusicalsupply.com ) or Weber ( http://www.tedweber.com ). Personally, I could wire one up but I'm not sure my woodworking and metal fabricating (chassis) skills are up to the task.
1. I can't seem to find good cab designs on the internet

Have you priced out what building a cab would cost (all of the supplies) and think of the quality (you know your woodworking skill - I don't) and then compared it to something from Weber ( http://www.tedweber.com ) or Avatar ( http://www.avatarspeakers.com )?
2. I want some nice Marshall tone that with gain range from light rock to metal (basically I want versitility) What head should I find schematics for, that also wont cost me too much money.

I can't give you much help here as I'm in the process myself of thinking about amps and the sounds I want and I still have a lot of learning there to do. I know that Weber has both schematics and layouts on his website for all the amp kits he has ( https://taweber.powweb.com/store/kits.htm and pick out an amp and there will be links to the schematics and layouts).

I'll echo Hyper's comments... I'm handy w/ a soldering iron, but not so much the woodworking. Not to mention that I live in a 1br apartment and don't have room for all the woodworking equipment even if I knew what to do with it. Weber's cabinets are very nice, and are available with a wide variety of tolex coverings. Their parts kits don't go crazy with high end parts (no orange drop caps, etc), but are a great value. Let me dig around and find a picture of my rig.... Here you go

The head is a Weber 6M45P, with the tooled leather tolex. The speaker cab is some random piece of junk, not Weber. If you want to do metal, QuarterFront's suggestion of a 6M18TMB is probably a good one (though it might be a bit tough for a first build). I've never played through one, but from what I've heard, they have plenty of gain available on the TMB channel. Mine doesn't have quite that much gain, but I wasn't looking for that anyways. It's got a metric #@$-ton of volume tho.

The last thing I'll say (since you didn't say anything about your abilities), is that if you've never soldered anything before, or built anything from a schematic, a tube amp is probably not the best place to start.
