There's a hissing sound that comes out of my amp whenever I have a pedal plugged into it. It's fine without any pedals. Anyone with any idea of what this could be and how to fix it? (btw, i have double humbuckers on my guitar, not a single coil.)

It's the pedal, a lot of them are noisy, particularly if they are turned up high. The best way to lose the noise is to put a noise gate in as the last link before going into the amp. Tune the NG to just take out the unwanted noise - the tone of the guitar suffers, if you take too much out.
I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?
