Hi, my name is Andy and I have returned to learning to play music about three years ago after a 30 year hiatus from a kidhood with a year of guitar lessons and alot of noodling. I mostly am holding an acoustic guitar but have access to a bass, mandolin, keyboard and percussion stuff. Mostly am just having fun. Started writing songs about two years ago and am working on that too and was attracted here by the songwriting forum. I like any music that is real and that has feeling. The genre I am pulled closest to is Americana. I like a fair bit of folk, alternative, rock and country. Looking forward to discussions.
Hi Andy
Welcome to the forum. You'll have to let us listen to some of the stuff you are writing, that would be good. Hope you enjoy the discussions on the forum.
Welcome aboard Andy. Funny you should mention Americana music I was never much into it but my daughter has hooked up with the singer of a local Americana band to do a side project.
The band is out of Hartford CT and their name is Heirlooms if you get a chance check out their music it's very good and the singer has a really good voice.

Look forward to seeing you around.
