hi all,
i am jamie from wimbledon in london england.
i have been with GN for a while and thought i might aswell see if anyone out there is from my manner.
i am playing accoustic but also have an yamaha electric.
i prefer the accoustic,i love the natural sound.
must be honest! "i am not very good".but i do practice every day, whether its chourds, short licks or reading up on music theory ect..
i have not had any lessons so no doubt i have probably got some bad habbits.
i try most styles of music to play, and this site is excellent for that.the lessons are A+++++.
i have quite a busy and hectic job(bench joiner) and only find a little time to practice (i have a guitar for work((cheepie)) and a nice tanglewood at home. so basically is there anyone out there who is at the same level as me,and also does not have a teacher who would like to jam or more like makeing mistakes and have a giggle. :)
thanks

Nice to meet a fellow Brit on here Beadle - ggod to see you. I'm a bit far away to jam with you and my musical tastes are probably quite different from your's anyway(traditional Celtic folk), but I'm confident you'll find plenty of people near you.

What did the guitarist do when he was told to turn on his amp?
He caressed it softly and told it that he loved it.
Welcome, and be sure to participate in some of the online collaborations, as well as the "guess this riff" game.

Welcome to GN, Beadle! 8)
My favorite game is "Guess that chord". Visit the thread and review some old posts to learn the mechanism.
Welcome, Jamie, there's plenty of us Brits about, I'm sure there's a couple from your neck of the woods. If I remember correctly, Simon@home is a Londoner - but I've got a feeling he's into metal for some reason. I'm up in Merseyside, if you're ever up that way let me know.

Welcome Jamie, all of us were at the lowest level when we started and with practice we have advanced to wherever we currently are. I bet not one person on this group dosen't want to get better, no matter how good others think he/she is. I'd like to jam with you, but I'm really far away, and the passport offices here are all backed up.
Welcome to GN, Jamie. :D

Welcome to GN, Jamie from the South Coast.

Good to have you aboard.

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.
It was them that turned me to drink.
Welcome to GN!
