Hello GN,
Thanks in large part to this site, I finally took the plunge yesterday and bought myself a gee-tar. I'm an absolute beginner so I got a Epiphone Special II Les Paul, an amp, new strings, tuner and a case. It was cheap, and I'm learning and i loved the feel of the guitar. Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for helping work up the nerve to get going.
And, when i have a decent idea what i'm doing  , it'd be great to meetup with other Seattleites for a little jam session.
Thanks again!
Trot

Hi Trot. Welcome to GN. There's nothing like the feeling of buying that first guitar. That is, until you buy the next one.

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.
It was them that turned me to drink.
Welcome to GN!
