Hello all! Just wanted to say hi from sunny Florida.
I've been playing for a little over a year now--I took up guitar after me and one of my ex'es split just to kill some time and it quickly became one of my favorite things in the world.
I've been taking lessons on jazz, blues, and shred for about nine months now and I think I can play some reasonable stuff--a little SRV (think: Lenny or Riviera Paradise), some John Mayer, and I'm trying my hand at some of Satriani's simpler stuff now (taking lessons from a shred specialist because I wanted to improve my lead work).
I play acoustic and electric in roughly equal measures. Oh yeah, and I'm 28 years old.
If you have any advice or suggestions on cool musicians, please post or send me a PM.
