Hello, good people. Klepsydra here. 39 years old, normally resident in London, England but presently in Milwaukee (a city I frequently visit).
Wanted to play guitar as a teenager, but my parents thought it was "dreadfully common" and made me learn violin instead. Which I was good at, but... somehow wasn't the same.
Then a couple of years ago, a guy who I go to the gym with got a game called 'Guitar Hero'. (I know... I know...) and invited me round to play it. I was unashamedly hooked in no time and it rekindled all my old urge to play guitar. It turned out that the gym friend had played bass once upon a time, and his flatmate had a guitar... You can guess where it went from there!
I've been learning for eighteen months and can just about bash out some simpler tunes (my main problem is barre chords -- I simply cannot master those wretched things). Since I doubted my ability to play other people's songs, the obvious solution was to... write my own! Which I've found I can do at a greater speed than I can learn to play my own compositions, but there you go.
I shall probably frequent the songwriting forum more than any other, but I'm sure no forum will be safe from me now.

Not sure . . . but if you google 'female' . . . you might find references to 'cryptic' . . . or 'mysterious' :mrgreen:

no problem, but i would've probably assumed you were a "dude" as well.
most of us hail from the US and have no idea about the furries.
btw most of my time past and present has nothing to do with guitars or music. soooo Hobbie away!
