Mew!
I just thought I would introduce myself.

I am a beginning guitar junkie out of the upper midwest.
I have loved it since the moment I first air-guitared and I am absolutely thrilled to finally be learning. I am playing a 16 year old, healthy Seagull that has finally warmed up to me.
I hope to some day be able to play Over the Hills and Far Away...and write songs.

I just had my second lesson, I still need a tuner and some picking skills...My fingers are very sore but I do heart it so!
This forum seems to be informative and helpful. Here's to future sessions and a lifetime of guitar-luff!

Cheers!

Welcome to GN, Lady S.

"Beginning guitar junkie"....."16-Year-old Seagull"......wait till you've been here a couple of weeks, you'll be a fully fledged guitar junkie with cravings (GAS - Guitar Acquisition Syndrome) for a vintage Les Paul/Strat, a couple of new acoustics, amps....etc etc....happens to the best of us!

And if you're a beginner songwriter - or about to begin - you might want to check out the Sunday Songwriter's Forum. There's a suggested theme or topic to try each week - no pressure, no prizes, just a lot of friendly help and tips. I tried it 3 years ago and I've been hooked ever since!

Good luck!

:D :D :D

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.
It was them that turned me to drink.
